V072 - Tribal Sacred Turtle Vinyl Cutout Window Sticker
Design by Kathleen Kemmerling, this sea turtle has a tribal shell pattern as seen from a side perspective. The turtle is swimming upwards. Turtles have a sacred symbology to Native Americans as well as Hindu and Chinese mythologies. Turtle Island is a name handed down through oral traditions to represent North America. The myth of the "Great Turtle" was first recorded by white settler Jasper Danckaerts between 1678 and 1680, and is shared by numerous tribes, most notably the Iroquois.
