A295 This Darkness Got to Give Vintage Jerry Jaspar 1991 Protest War Racism BLM Art Decal

This vintage decal was created in 1991 by Jerry Jaspar in protest of the US military invasions in the middle east. It's clear to see the trail of destruction and degradation since then. The lyric "One way or another, this darkness got to give" is by the Grateful Dead, sung by Jerry Garcia on the song New Speedway Boogie, recorded on the album Workingman's Dead in 1969. The message inspired a vision of the 'light of Peace' shining on a wasteland of war, death and human imposed environmental disaster. A skeleton hand holding a rose is illuminated by the light. The art is rendered with permanent silkscreen on durable mylar.

The details in the background have no white print behind them. On a tinted window only the hand, rose, Peace symbol and lettering are prominent.
